7/24/07: 3 Mile Run: Neighborhood

Just back from Newark, NJ after spending a night in a lovely hotel near the airport. OK, it was a hotel save the lovely bit. But, I did sleep good actually. I listened to Daily Source Code. Adam is still going on about the fall of big media and the BBC's woes. The fall of big media may not becoming and I am all for exposing what is really done to produce TV content. But, I am not ready to sign up the independent media is the vehicle to truth. Most of what I see is still someone putting something out there with the intent to get noticed or to convince me of the truth the other person thinks I should believe. That is not the same as simply telling me the truth. The point becomes the convincing, not the sharing of the truth and thus starts the slippery slope.

I completed this run in the evening, after supper due to a busy schedule including travel from New Jersey. The run felt fine, but the pace and time may reflect the impact of running just after dinner on a long day.
