Judy and I met at the usual 6:30 am for the first time in a bit. Last night was exciting. My 4 year old son got a very tightly compressed towel designed to be expanded in water. So, we ran a sink full of water, put the towel in it, and I instructed him to leave the faucet alone. Off I went to do something. He came down with the expanded towel which was a turtle. Then, we started preparing for a walk to the lake. We were in the basement when I heard my wife get up here quick. There was water coming through the ceiling of our living room. My son had turned the faucet on and left it on. I have posted pictures on Flickr. We will have to replace at least 2 walls and 1 ceiling's worth of white wall. Lesson: never assume a 4 year old will follow rules. If you feel the need to tell them not to do something, you probably already suspect they might. Well, he did.
