07/12/07: 6 Mile Run: Neighborhood

I was caught up on the podcasts I normally listen to so I took the iPod with the bluetooth headset. It was a little irritating because I could hear the rubber on the ear piece flapping as I ran. This is very distracting. In fact, I am going to try different ear pieces in hopes that will resolve it.

Near the end of the run, a car approached me and the driver, an elderly male, raised his hand. I thought he was being friendly and responded accordingly. Then, I noticed that he was actually trying to direct me to get off of the pavement. So, naturally, I used my hands and arms to gesture more dramatically than he did. I wanted him to look in his rearview mirror and get the message. I have no idea if he did or not. But, gees, on a road with no traffic and lots of room, he is going to flip out because I am using 2 feet of road. He should just get over himself. I nearly look forward to the opportunity to conflict with him.
