I was unnecessarily worried about my ability to run 17 miles before this run. No problem. It was long, but I was never in danger of running out of steam. The weather was beautiful especially for December. I listened to the iPod shuffle through 2 1/2 hours of music. Joe Ely showed up a remarkable number of times. I made nearly as far as Jim Bird's hay art. I could see the Snoopy in the picture at the website as I turned around. And, I saw a beaver or an otter cross the road. Remarkably, I passed 2 other runners outside of town too.
