Sure enough,the files referenced have disappeared from the file system. But, they are still on the iPod. I seem to be able to listen and delete the reference in the library and all is well. However, I fear that some of my ripped music will disappear and I will have to start patching the local library. I posted a thread on iTunes. So, if you happen to know how I can resolve this, please let me know.
